Boss may have designed the FZ-5 Fuzz for modern guitarists, but the sounds the pedal produces are pure retro. No wonder, considering the FZ-5 was inspired by the rock sounds of the sixties and seventies.
Sound characteristics of the Fuzz
The Boss Fuzz's sounds are reminiscent of those of the Maestro FZ-1A, Fuzz Face and Octivia pedals. Turn up the Boost knob if you're ready to take the effect to the next level - COSM technology will make the classic fuzz tones sound even more aggressive.
